My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.
Dan called his brother this afternoon, and while he was in the bedroom talking to him, he suddenly shooed me out so he could “ask him something”. I am ABSOLUTELY DYING TO KNOW. The last time Dan planned a surprise for me, it was a weekend trip to Pittsburgh. God I could so go for that again. I asked him point blank if that’s what it was (’cause I’d really, really love that), and he said no. Aww. Bummer. So it’s not Pittsburgh. Or maybe it is and he just said that to throw me off his trail? What is it? When is it? Will I like it?! GAH. I hate surprises. I mean, I love them, but I hate the anticipation and wondering. I’d much rather know nothing at all and be blind-sided by it (like I was with the weekend trip to Pittsburgh).
I don’t blame Dan for being super secretive with his plans though, because I’m a pretty good guesser (and he is pretty bad at being pretty obvious). I’ve guessed events, gifts, destinations, and so on and so forth. So it’s good that he is keeping his lips sealed and is refusing to provide even the tiniest little detail, because knowing me I’d be able to use A + B to get all the way to Z and bam, surprise ruined.
I have some plotting of my own to do: Christmas gifts! I’m starting super early this year. I already have my brothers’ gifts purchased (though I’m looking at Naot shoes and similar brands for my fourteen year old brother, who does a lot of walking on the campus he is at), I know what I’m getting Dan, I know what I’m getting Jason, and I’ve already bounced a few ideas off of Dan in regards to his brothers and sisters.
Ahh, Christmas… I can’t believe it is just four months away! That’s just sixteen weeks… and just seventeen Fridays away! It doesn’t seem so far off when I put it that way, now does it?
