My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.
I’m still quite overweight, but as of this morning I am 37 lbs. lighter than I was in mid-April of this year. I’d probably be closer to 45-50 lbs. lighter, but I took a “break” from the whole diet/exercise thing in June, July and August while I dealt with some family things and other things. But I’ve been back on track for the last six weeks, and things are going great! I don’t know about weight loss pills that work, but what’s working for me is watching calories and fat grams especially.
Yesterday I wore a pair of size 24 jeans. I haven’t worn that size since I was pregnant with Alyssa. What made the moment so special was that I was able to pull up, button and zip a pair of size 24 jeans that I had purchased a few weeks after having Alyssa but had never been able to fit into. I felt like crying when I got them on! They’re snug, but mainly in my thighs — and I’ve always had excessively thunderish thighs, even for being a fat girl. It’s in the genes somewhere, I suppose.
