My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. Guess who forgot to renew kitty.nu? I knew it expired on October 18th, too. I just forgot about it. And then I didn’t have the necessary funds in PayPal to take care of it. And then when I did, I forgot. And around and around it went, until today when I both remembered and had the money to pay for the renewal. Tee-hee.
Anyway, not much has been happening, besides being insanely busy. But insanely busy seems to be the lifestyle these days, because it’s like that week after week. Last weekend knocked the wind out of me. On Saturday Dan and I took Alyssa to a bonfire his aunt and uncle have every year in celebration of Halloween. Usually there’s 30-50 people, but this year was a VERY small turnout due to to the weather. Sucks for them, because a miniature barn and a roaring bonfire kept the rain away. But hey, more food (and alcohol) for us! 
On Sunday we celebrated Alyssa’s birthday party, even though she technically didn’t turn five until today (yes, today!). Another small turnout. I give up… I don’t know why I keep sending out invitations for every party if 1) no one RSVPs 2) people come at random times or 3) don’t come at all. I should just be like, “Okay, we’re having decorations and food and presents on THIS DATE. Drop by, mmkay?” And then sit back and write about cheap term life insurance quotes or whatever else clients throw my way, instead of running around cleaning up the house and making sure everything is ready in preparation for a party that is almost always a bust. Grrr…
Yesterday Alyssa’s preschool class celebrated her birthday, so I made cupcakes to send in with her. Er, correction. I was going to, but then Dan’s brother’s girlfriend volunteered, since she was bored with the guys’ gaming and wanted something to do. She baked, I decorated. Fun times.
Today was just a blah, drippy kind of day. But tomorrow and the rest of the week will be busy, so believe me, I basked in the blahness and drippiness!
