Confession #2: I hate to cook

I am really not fond of cooking. I’d rather spend eight hours cleaning my kitchen from top to bottom or looking up cheap insurance than have to cook a full meal. I cook because I have to. I do try to make healthy, nutritious meals, and I put some creativity into the process so that I’m not serving my family the same stuff all of the time, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy the process, because I don’t. I do enjoy baking, however. Baking is a lot of fun, particularly the taste-testing part. ;)

I am seriously not a good housewife… I don’t like to cook, I barely use the spiffy kitchen appliances I have inherited from my mother and grandmother (with the exception of my Kitchenaid mixer; I use that bad boy several times a week!), and I don’t know how to sew. I have a Singer sewing machine that was my grandmother’s, and I think only my husband has used it. I did learn how to do a back-stitch in eighth grade though, and that has stuck with me all these years.

Do you like to cook? Do you have any quick slow-cooker or casserole recipes? Those are my favorite meals to make, so please share any delicious, hearty and nutritious recipes!

I hate cooking. I told Spencer that if he wants fed if we ever live together, he’s going to have to help cook because I *hate* doing it. It takes too much patience. Blogging and being on the internet has made me way too add.
