A year ago today:
That’s me, about 331 pounds.
And this is me tonight, at 256.6 lbs.
What a difference a loss of 74.4 lbs. can make! And I’m so happy, because now I have less than 100 lbs. to lose to reach my goal weight of 160 lbs. At first it seemed so daunting… but I got the initial 45ish lbs. off prior to surgery, and since having the surgery I’ve lost another 30 (just about). I know I can do this. Actually, it won’t be hard to lose the weight. It’s going to be hard to consume enough protein all of the time. It’s already a real pain in the ass. I’m not hungry, when I’m thirsty it’s for water, and having to go a half an hour between eating and drinking (and never doing both at the same time!) just makes things even more difficult. A lot of the time I’ll sit with a protein shake and sip it as I research the ease of a San Diego job search, or some weird health condition, or how to remove a virus, or how to do this or that… it’s crazy the things people query eHow and other article sites for!
But in general, I’m not taking in enough protein each day. I know it, but I don’t know what to do about it, except to do my best… on a good day it seems like I get 30ish grams. Normally? Probably less than 15. *sigh*
