Workaholic.

The definite downside to being a freelancer and working from home is that I feel like I’m chained to my laptop, and if not my laptop, then to my phone. Between emails, text messages, IMs, and notifications of assigned work from this client or that client, there’s usually never a break. Notifications of a writing project, requests for product reviews, assignments for glucomannan, etc. It’s 24/7, 365 days a year. What makes it worse is that since I have children, and two young children at that, I tend to drag my laptop with me everywhere, so I can work whenever I get the opportunity to.

Blah. I seriously cannot WAIT until both kids are in regular school for the full school day. Imagine, 6-8 hours all to myself? I’ll probably cry with joy the first few days. It’ll be amazing!

But I love working from home, and I love the freedom it entails. I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
