I have been horribly congested for the past three days. At first I chalked it up to a cold, especially since I was feeling flushed. But seeing as how I have no other symptoms, and the congestion and runny nose increase when I’m outside, I’m suspecting allergies. Bah. I don’t have any allergy medications, so all I can do is suffer with it. I’ve been sleeping with two pillows at night, and using some special type of saline spray to clear up my nose enough so that I can breathe out of it. I absolutely HATE mouth-breathing, because it means waking up with a dry, icky mouth and throat. Yuck. Plus it’s disruptive to my sleep.
So anyway, allergies weren’t enough to keep me indoors today! I wrapped up most of my work around 12:30pm, so Dan and I took the kids to a really cool restaurant that has a huge wooden play area (nothing fancy with chandeliers, obviously) behind it. We were even able to eat outside — a cheese steak for Dan, a hamburger for Alyssa, a hot dog for Ryan, and French fries and drinks for everyone. I had a bite of Dan’s cheese steak, a nibble of Ryan’s hot dog and a few French fries, and that was plenty for me. We took ice cream to-go, and of course I wound up dumping on the half dozen bites or so of soft serve. It was almost worth it, lol.
Right now it’s barely after 11pm, and I am seriously tired. Sooooooooo… goodnight!

You should really try a Neti Pot. They’re quite cheap and it’s been the only thing that really helped with my allergies. Going outside during the spring and summer was pretty irritating for me due to my allergies but the Neti Pot has seriously reduced all the problems I had.
Howcome you ate outside if your allergies are in full bloom?

@Jardain because of Alysssa and Ryan. It’s too nice out to make them sit indoors!
