My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.
This time of night sucks. I’m always tempted to go to bed, even though it’s way too early to go to sleep. But still… this bed next to me looks oh-so-tempting. I think I better put on some music or something… I have writing on disability insurance and a few other topics to finish up, so I can’t go to sleep just yet!
So, what has everyone been up to this weekend? Did you do anything exciting? Did you do something nice for your mom on Mother’s Day? Today is Mother’s Day, by the way. 
I didn’t do anything exciting or special, but I did have a very nice day with Dan, Alyssa and Ryan. Dan slept in while I got up with the kids and got them situated with breakfast, though he was up by the time I made it into the shower. I fixed lunch, and then he got busy with cleaning and doing little repairs and improvements around the house. I love when he gets into the repair man role, because he really does a great, thorough job on tasks that need attending to. 
Then there was dinner… it was absolutely delicious! An oven-roasted chicken, chicken-based gravy, garlic & butter mashed potatoes (the kids insisted on topping them with Mexican blend shredded cheese during dinner, lol), sweet white corn, and wheat rolls. For dessert I brought out the lone hunk of ice cream cake left over from Dan’s birthday party (April 27th), which we all had a few bites of (I’d love to have more, but I don’t feel like dumping on sugar tonight!).
As a belated Mother’s Day gift Dan is going to install a garbage disposal. I’m seriously VERY excited over that!!!
