Hello!

My name is Jenn, and I'm a 27 year old married and babied chick. In addition to a husband, a seven year old daughter, and a five year old autistic son, I also have four cats, three hermit crabs, two frogs, a few fish, and one snorty little Pug. I work from home doing a variety of writing and even some web design. I love blogging, digital photography and web design.

About Kitty.nu

Kitty.nu has been around for several years. Once upon a time it was home to my personal blog (you can find that over at Jenn.nu), but it now serves as an outlet for my domesticated and wifey type ramblings.

As the subject states. Max is my three year old gray Persian cat, and he puzzles me sometimes. When I first took him from my mom last year, she warned me that he can be spiteful (she used a bunch of other adjectives to describe him, but I figure I’ll let them slide from being included this blog entry, especially since I generally maintain a PG type of audience on this blog, lol). But to be honest, he’s been nothing but good-natured and sweet with us. If anything, he’s almost too happy, friendly and sweet. He is very eager for human companionship and will seriously lick every inch of your skin if you’ll let him.

But the one thing he does do is let me know when he is dissatisfied with the conditions of the litter box. Now, seeing as how I have four cats, it’s crucial for me to maintain a clean litter box. I have a large, hooded corner litter box, and I use a combination of Arm & Hammer cat litter for multiple cats and Fresh Step crystals in it. I scoop twice a day, and I change the litter out entirely every two weeks. But there have been a few occasions, namely when I have been sick, or after my gastric bypass surgery, when I didn’t scoop it as often as possible. And Max let me know he had taken note of this by taking a dump in front of the litter box. Okay, no big deal, my mistake, let’s clean it up, clean out the box, and move on.

Only… the last two times he has pooped in front of the litter box have both left me scratching my head in confusion, because in both instances I had *just* scooped the box less than two hours prior. And when I checked on the status of the litter box each time, it was fine! Eh, cats… Like I said, I will never pretend to understand them!
