I have a love/hate relationship with roller coasters. I’m afraid of heights, I always have fears about the restraints letting loose or the train flying off the track, and the drop causes that sickening clenching feeling (what I refer to as the “drop sensation”) in my stomach.
Well, I can’t get over my fear of heights or not-completely-unfounded worry about restraints or trains failing, but I can get over the drop issue — with my “new” stomach, I barely feel it! Seriously, I rode FIVE coasters the other day (after hitting up the water park in my non-plus size swimsuit, whee!), one of which has a drop that is BEYOND straight down (it actually curves in), and the drop sensation I felt was maybe 10% of what I felt before. It was awesome.
And with my weight loss, I’m able to comfortably ride anything! Yay! I was so excited at this revelation that I even rode THIS:

Now I need to find the balls to ride a coaster that has a 400+ foot drop. Ugh. Hold me?

I used to have a terrible fear of heights, until I faced my fear when a friend took me up the local church steeple, I think it made me realise there is more to life
As for roller coasters, I love them, I just love that rush of wind through my hair and the adrenalin pumping through my veins… Oo you’ve got me hankering for a trip to a theme park now
