How I organize my jewelry

Jewelry can be a pain to organize – earring mates can be lost, bracelet charms can fall off, and necklaces can become hopelessly tangled with one another. I try to take good care of my jewelry, even if a lot of it isn’t gold or silver custom designed rings. I have a small train case that opens up to reveal two tiered shelves and a large area beneath. I use the top tiered shelf for my rings, earrings, and loose charms; the lower tiered shelf for larger earrings; and the large open area at the bottom for all of my necklaces. But I don’t just toss my necklaces in – I’ve learned the hard way not to do that! Instead, I use small snack-sized Ziploc bags for each necklace. Yes, that’s a lot of bags, but keeping the necklaces bagged separately prevents them from tangling; also, I can easily see each necklace, since the bags are clear – this makes hunting around for a specific necklace a thing of the past.
