But that didn’t happen, obviously. Dan told me to get up and get dressed, so we could go out. He took me down to Philadelphia so we could enjoy the Mutter’s museum. He drove, which was quite nice. I got to check on Twitter and look up office furniture (I want a smaller computer desk that we can fit in our small and cramped bedroom), and doze a bit. Whoo! After the museum that we went to Nifty Fifty’s for an early dinner, and then to a movie theater to see The Time Traveler’s Wife (incredibly awesome movie! I highly recommend you read the book first, though.). It rained the entire day, but we still had a wonderful time. I think the best part was not having kids to haul along with us!

I don’t blame Dan for being super secretive with his plans though, because I’m a pretty good guesser (and he is pretty bad at being pretty obvious). I’ve guessed events, gifts, destinations, and so on and so forth. So it’s good that he is keeping his lips sealed and is refusing to provide even the tiniest little detail, because knowing me I’d be able to use A + B to get all the way to Z and bam, surprise ruined.

I have some plotting of my own to do: Christmas gifts! I’m starting super early this year. I already have my brothers’ gifts purchased (though I’m looking at Naot shoes and similar brands for my fourteen year old brother, who does a lot of walking on the campus he is at), I know what I’m getting Dan, I know what I’m getting Jason, and I’ve already bounced a few ideas off of Dan in regards to his brothers and sisters.

Ahh, Christmas… I can’t believe it is just four months away! That’s just sixteen weeks… and just seventeen Fridays away! It doesn’t seem so far off when I put it that way, now does it?

What’s the last big surprise you had in your life?

You’ve said before that I should tell you when you’ve had enough. I told you at least three different times tonight that you HAD ENOUGH. Did you listen to me? No. In fact, you ran off so many times to get MORE alcohol that I lost count of what you had after three bottled beers (lager?), three mixed drinks and two cups of wine.

Thanks a lot for ruining our plans of having some “us” time and hopefully some sex time too. Again.

So, all things considered, when you decided to come stumbling from the car and pass out on our living room floor…

… I felt absolutely no remorse or a moment’s regret at taking advantage of your comatose state:

But last night we did go out for our anniversary, thanks to Jason babysitting for us. Dan took me to a nice restaurant, and afterwards we played around with my camera, then went dripping around Walmart for an hour, just like old times.

Back home we hung with Jason and watched judge shows. A boring but nice ending to the night.
