In case you’re not following the recent posts at jenn.nu, let me tell you what’s going on. My hosting account with E-Starr was suspended last Thursday due to non-payment, because stupid me forgot to pay it (if I planned on having a future with this hosting company, I would definitely set up auto-withdrawal to avoid future non-payment issues). So I paid it on Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately, I wasn’t paying attention to the payment method, so the hosting payment was sent via e-check.

Well, the e-check cleared on Tuesday morning (for those of you playing along at home, it is now Friday). An employee of E-Starr, Jay, responded to an email sent over the weekend on Monday morning, and then again on Tuesday morning. While the email was about two unrelated issues: a password change and domain name change, the suspended hosting account WAS mentioned.

Anyway, it’s now Friday. To date, I have sent six emails, with the last three being CC’ed to another E-Starr support email address. I have submitted three helpdesk tickets, all of which clearly outline my request in the subject line and description/comment area, and all three having a high priority. I have also submitted three comment queries through the E-Starr billing system.

I have left three voicemails. And today, I went around to the owner’s personal blogs (two) and her MySpace account and left comments on all three.

I am starting to get really, REALLY angry. These aren’t just my sites that are suspended. They are the sites of my brother-in-law, and several online friends. This fuck up by E-Starr is not only costing people their convenience and domain uptime, but money, as most of the domains in question are used for paid blogging purposes. The domains being suspended means that the sponsored posts aren’t available for viewing and review, which means they are rejected, and the owners of the domain risk losing their payments for those posts, and their credibility with the paid blogging companies themselves.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I’m thinking about finding out who provides E-Starr with the servers (I’m 99% certain they’re leased on a month to month basis), and contacting them, to see if they can be of any help.

At this point, I just want the account unsuspended so I can grab backups and move everyone to my other reseller. As far as I’m concerned, I am through with E-Starr. I gave them two years of business and referred everyone that asked to them, and this is what I get in return?

As Anna pointed out, there must be ice in hell, because I went to bed last night before midnight! The night before I went to bed a little after midnight. And both nights I slept through until 10:30am the next morning! The only exception is this morning, when I shot out of bed at 7am because I heard Ryan crying. It’s one of those instinctive mom things — I didn’t realize I was awake until I was down the hall and outside his bedroom door. Heh. Anyway, he was okay. He had fallen out of bed, so I cuddled him for a few minutes, gave him some nice Mommy kisses and then tucked him back into bed. I then stumbled back to bed myself, and slept beautifully until 10:30am.

I don’t know what’s up with the sleeping thing. The last time I slept like this, or last two times I should say, I was in the first few weeks of pregnancy, first with Alyssa, and then with Ryan. Wouldn’t that suck!? We don’t want a third child. Not right now, especially. A third child would mean more work, more aggravation, more money, a bigger house or squishing the same gendered kids into one bedroom, and definitely a bigger vehicle, as I can’t envision THREE car seats in the back of a Hyundai Sonata. This is me, praying that the plastic clamps on my fallopian tubes are intact. If this sleep thing and the tingling I’ve been feeling in my breasts (again, something that popped up in both pregnancies) continues, I’m going to take a test to ease my mind. Or kill myself, depending on the results.

Today. Ugh. I’m agitated, for three reasons:

MyBlogLog: I forgot my login password months ago. Despite submitting to have a reset code sent to my email address at least a dozen or more times, no reset code is ever sent. I contacted MyBlogLog support almost a month ago, clearly spelling out the issue (forgot password, reset code not being sent, help me access my account!). I received a reply asking me to clarify the issue (?!). I did, and heard nothing more. I submitted another support request today, with a bit of a scathing tone to it. Hopefully this will turn up an email monkey that actually understands basic English and can respond with a solution.

Pizza Hut: Anyone else see the $11.99 special for a large Meat Lovers’ pizza? Yeah, me too! Well, I ordered exactly that at Pizza Hut last night, and was charged $14.99. When I inquired about the difference in price, I was handed some BS line about the type of pizza I ordered. Huh? What type would that be? The Meat Lovers’ pizza size large type? Well, guess who’s submitting a complaint to Pizza Hut today. I want my $3 back!

E-Starr. I paid the hosting bill last Thursday morning. Granted, I paid by e-check, so I can understand the account remaining suspended until the check cleared. Even though it was always unsuspended right away in the past, without waiting for the check to clear… Well, that check cleared for sure yesterday afternoon. Almost twenty-four hours later and the account is still suspended. This is bad, because I am hosting my brother-in-law’s domains and several domains for online friends, all of whom rely on the uptime and availability of their domains in order to make money from web design, paid blogging, etc. The one person who emailed me back yesterday morning and the morning before was focusing on a forgotten password issue, and completely ignoring the elephant in the room (or in this case, the email). Since yesterday afternoon I have sent two or three emails and two or three support requests. So far, nothing. I am REALLY agitated about this!
